Beauty Haul Jan & Feb 2012

I am supposed to post this earlier but you guessed it right, I am too busy with family, day job, part time job, twitter and instagram (might add pinterest soon! :p) to finish this post. So here it is, the first beauty haul for the year 2012.

I love all of them and have use them all except for the lip color in BB palette. This reminds me I need a lip brush to use those beautiful lip color. Another trip to Guardian soon I guess, so I can get my hands on those pretty lip butter by Revlon! I need to move away from nudes and rose colored lipstick. Maybe I should venture into red and pink. We’ll see :p

Year End Mood: Shop!

When year end sale is here together with extra money from ehem (you know what lah kan), my hand gets itchy. Some of the damage done in no particular order:

You can get the nice and hijab friendly blouse from HijriaHome! Very good quality cotton blouses. They have variety of colors and patterns to choose from too. I might get another one in leopard print hehe..

Hmm.. I foresee that more damage will be done once we go for year end holiday in KL. My not-so-fat purse is scared. Oh, that reminds me that I NEED new purse. The current one is Bonia circa 2007. Going to be 5 years old soon! How time flies eh :p

I realized I haven’t blog for 2 months now. Please blame Twitter for being so simple to use and so addictive. You can update anything anywhere if you have your smartphones around. I now read my TL instead of the online news hehe.. How my life changes because of iPhone and Twitter. *heart* Ok back to work *geek mode ON*.

Random Babbling on Saturday

This is my first time using wordpress for iPhone :p mine is not the famous iphone4 though.

Where to begin? Let me talk about my cravings for.. Food and beauty products. To tell u the truth, I did not have specific cravings but it will come and go and totally beyond my control. This second one might be more demanding than her sis Zara so I am hoping she will not be a fussy baby later.

Let me share some pictures of my beauty purchase and some of them is unnecessary! Hehe :p

From left is the Red earth eco colour baked blushing compact in Elegance. The tall blue bottle is Cyber colors all-in-1 moisturizing cleansing water with chamomile extract and hyaluronic acid. Loreal for men cleanser and moisturizer. They were on sale at Guardian so I stock these for hubby. The pink colored box is Biore cleansing oil in cotton. Maybe I will do a separate review post for all of these accept for the loreal for men stuff.

This one is another purchase from Dior this year so that I can get my hand on their member card. Woot! I bought Dior Rouge in 740 if not mistaken. It is a lovely rosie pink. Very neutral color perfect for a simple day makeup.

Next thing I have in mind is to hunt for the perfect makeup brush! If any of you happens to know of a good brush set, do let me know ya. The basic brushes for foundation, blusher, lips and eyemakeup is enough for me. I don’t know why I have a sudden urge to learn about beauty and makeup. Maybe it’s the hormone or maybe it is the time.

My Bobbi brown foundation and loose powder are finishing very soon, but I need to go all the way to gurney plaza to replenish. Since I haven’t have time for it, I am currently using Dr. G BB cream. So far so good. I will do a review on this one too. I love the fact that it is treating my skin as well as giving a light coverage before I dab on some loose powder on top. No need for another layer of foundation and it makes my skin looks real smooth.

Enough about my splurge on beauty. We had a great time last night watching Narnia 3D. Zara is behaving well and she slept halfway through the movie. A success indeed. This is Zara’s first movie experience and she keep on complaining that the place is dark and got hantu/ghost! Hehee

Before the movie, we manage to get some JPops and the fat free yoghurt at JCo with lots of topping! yummm. We have some leftover for breakfast too let me leave you with some pictures of Zara posing on the couch at JCo:

My new obsession

I have a very short span of attention and interest. If you ask my hubby, he will be able to explain in details. I am always open to try up new things but I have problem with keeping it going on more than a dozen times. :p My bad.

I tried beading, I even went to a whole day intro to beading class and pretty close to getting mastitis because of it. I am breastfeeding my 4 months baby at the time and not being able to pump or latch on for 6 hours is no good. It is darn painful but still, I decided beading is too time consuming and I gave it up. I still have the beading needles and a box of colorful beads that I hope, yes I still hope, in the near future will become a masterpiece on one of my kurung or kebaya. (Yes, you can start laughing at me now).

I tried baking too. Several time. I tried baking carrot cake with another two friend and we took the entire night to finish haha. We blame the old butterfly oven. It looks unappetizing but it is quite delicious. hehe perahsan :p. I tried baking plain vanilla cupcake a few times at home and once at my MIL place. Failed 3 times and successful the 4th time. Who knows sifting flour is VERY important for the cupcake to look nice and fluffy. Don’t start rolling your eyes. I have very limited knowledge of baking apart from my staring to Anna Olson in Sugar (or should I say staring at the yummy cakes and desserts) at my favorite channel, AFC. Naturally, of course I hope to decorate the cupcake with nice little flowers and stars and maybe put on a doll princess on top for Zara’s 2nd birthday cake. Ok, you have my permission to laugh again :p Maybe I should consult Ijan who already got the skill on baking and decorating cupcake. You can find her masterpiece here.

My new obsession is to become more presentable, to be able to take care of myself more apart from taking care of my family. I know I can’t have it all, I just need to prioritize. I want to look pretty all the time for my darling husband and it can do good for my self-esteem too. I need to put back on those pretty kebayas without having a girdle on. I have to look nice with at least a basic makeup on. I need to pickup things that I have put aside more than 2 years ago. I need to look my best and I need to feel good again. Only then I will be less miserable looking at the mirror everyday. I think it is a right time too. Zara is a little bit more independent than before. I can steal half an hour for makeup and stuff in the morning provided that I have enough sleep and wake up early in the morning. Darling Zara, please do not poo poo at night and start watching cartoon at night ok. Habis la beauty sleep mak! kih kih..

I want to be able to dress myself up like I am going to go for a date every day. There, I’ve said it!. I remembered reading this somewhere “There is no ugly woman, only lazy ones!”. That is so true. Ok ok, I am cheering myself from now on and yeaayy for not being lazy anymore. All the laundry can wait :p hehe~

p/s: This is an “I-feel-guilty” entry for spending hundreds of RM on Bobbi Brown at Parkson! At least I got a lip+cheek pot and an eyeshadow for free plus the Parkson Vouchers (me love!). Phewww~ I feel better already. I will post some of the “damage” I’ve done to my pocket soon ok :p
